The Zillertal Steinbock March should not be underestimated, not least because of its length of 30 km,
but also because of its challenging high alpine character.
Every participant should pace themselves over the entire distance.
This, however, is only possible when you know your limits and have trained sufficiently.
TO ENSURE THE EVENT IS SUCCESSFUL FOR BOTH YOURSELF AND US, PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING POINTS!
Wear good, solid and “broken-in” mountain boots and protect your feet by wearing socks that do not rub and are also “worn-in”.
If necessary, rub “Hirschtalc” cream into your feet and wear “breathable” clothes.
Take a hat, warm gloves and rain protection. Drink plenty of liquids. (No alcohol)
Try to walk in normal, brisk strides from the start, with short resting breaks.
Do not step on loose rocks.
The Steinbock March takes place in the Zillertal Alps Nature Park.
The Nature Park stands for peace and extremely high degree of naturalness.
We kindly ask you therefore to avoid making unnecessary noise and creating rubbish during the Steinbock March.
